About Our ArizonaCommunity.com Logo

In brainstorming a design for the ArizonaCommunity.com logo, two aspects were carefully considered. First and foremost, the design had to symbolize the spirit of our philosophy. Secondly, the many facets of our mission had to be considered.

Previous logo's incorporated truly beautiful designs, focusing on our work within the state of Arizona and the concept of "accessibility" symbolized by a key. With our programs' global expansion in 2001, as well as the incorporation of the Web Angel Program, a new design was needed.

In January 2001, the "logo mentality" was replaced with the utilization of simple images illustrating the connection between our humanitarian efforts and the technology behind our endeavors. The font Martin Vogel's Symbol, was used to depict an angel and another font, Web Dings, was used to display a mouse. Special effects were added to illustrate the vibrant connection between the two. While this wasn't a "true" logo, by any means, the framework was in place and our slogan "Benefitting Humanity Through Technology" was born. While this was a step in the right direction, the world wide web is a visual platform as well as textual. Our saying needed an optical accoutrement.

Upon reviewing previous logo's and images conceptualizing ArizonaCommunity.com, three paramaters always stood out: Accessibility - symbolized by a key; Volunteering - symbolized by the Angel; and Internet Technology - symbolized in various forms. These are the core of the ArizonaCommunity.com mission and are displayed within our final logo -

An angel holding the key to the world wide web.

She is the messenger and guardian of the world wide web, offering accessibility to all who seek her. She lovingly offers the key to those who come before her.

We are proud to offer our logo to the global community and will continue to bring life to the meaning behind the symbology.
