If ever there was a positive program in a high school, it is the Santa Rita Band Program under the direction of Ms. Valerie Harris. This incredible young lady gives her heart and soul to the budding musicians within the Marching Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Concert Band. And if that weren't enough, the talented Dance Line will keep you thoroughly entertained. This comprehensive band program is definately a showcase of young talent not to be missed.

With the new year, the SRHS Band Program will begin establishing a web site developed and maintained by ArizonaCommunity.com. This endeavor will provide endless possibilities for the program and band members are encouraged to assist in this project.

The primary objectives for the web site are:

• Fostering communication with parents
• Promoting all band programs
• Providing up to date information regarding events
• Instruction areas for students to further skills

• Competition information
• Student involvement and recognition

• Tour information

As a former high school band member, it is an honor to relive some of my greatest high school memories through this project. For those who say "You can never go back" ... Just Watch!
